2013.9 My Reading goal Use beginning and end sounds. I know my sounds and I am now using my sounds whenever I get to a word I don't know. I am reading purple books and Junior Journals. I like chapter books. My favourite book is Magic Tricks. My goal is to use punctuation when I am reading so it makes sense. I stop at the fullstop and breathe. I must remember to look at the endings of the words :- looking looked.

I am reading orange books. If I don't know a word I sound the word out by sounding each letter out. Now I am working on chunking the words up like ;- wh ee l ba r row I am saying my blends, by looking at the picture, looking at the blend, and thinking of other words which start with the same sound. Sometimes the blend is at the beginning of the word like sh shoe or the end fish or in the middle brushed . I am working on fluency which means reading it faster. I have look along the time, say it in my head and then say it quickly . If I point it is too slow
